
TEDxYerevan 2011 Organizing Committee
Kristine Sargsyan has been working for NGO and business sector as an Organizational Development Consultant and Project Coordinator for 13 years. She studied languages and then obtained MBA from European Carlos Magnus University. Kristine worked for Tasic, CAFOD, World Learning, USDA, PA Consulting Group, Eurasia Foundation, Caritas Armenia, Ilsis Armenia and HayPost CJSC. She is also a board member of Professionals for Civil Society NGO. Recently she has been chosen by US Embassy to represent Armenia in International Visitor Leadership Program. Kristine is the author of several innovative Organizational Development Methods, which have been recognized and used by number of local and international organizations. Presently she is also establishing a small library for local OD professionals and is extensively engaged in the development of OD field in Armenia. Kristine is the initiator of TEDx Yerevan event and TED Talks Translations project in Armenia. She is the TED licensee.
Armen Devejian is an entrepreneur and small business owner in Armenia. He is also the former Foreign Communications Director for the Catholicosate of All Armenians and pontifical representative for India. Originally from the United States, he moved to Armenia ten years ago, and has become a proponent of repatriation. He is a licensed Architect in the State of California and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Prior to moving to Armenia, he practiced entertainment, institutional and historic preservation architecture for ten years. He also served in the administrations of California Governors George Deukmejian and Pete Wilson, in the Office of Criminal Justice Planning, advising on juvenile justice and delinquency prevention.
Salpi H. Ghazarian is Director of the Civilitas Foundation. Prior to that, she was Special Assistant to Armenia's Foreign Minister, Vartan Oskanian, from 2001 to 2008. Earlier, she served as editor and publisher of Armenian International Magazine, as well as producer and anchor of a bilingual live radio program, based in Los Angeles. Salpi has been consultant to US and California government agencies on multiculturalism. She taught at State Linguistic University aft. V.Brusov, in Yerevan as well as at Adult Schools in Los Angeles.
Luiza Hakobyan has graduated from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, holds Master’s Degree in International Economy. Currently she is obtaining her Ph.D. in Finance. Luiza has been actively involved in youth development area being a member of AIESEC international youth organization and leading an area of External Relations for 2008-2009 year. Luiza also supports TED Open Translation project in Armenia.

Zara Sargsyan is a long-time communications specialist focusing on various development projects in Armenia. She currently works as Communications Coordinator at the Civilitas Foundation. In her previous position at USAID Social Protection Systems Strengthening Project Sargsyan worked with government counterparts on public awareness and media activities in the framework of social reforms. Previously she jumpstarted and led the Training Department of USAID Core Media Support Program at IREX Armenia focusing on media capacity building. Sargsyan received her Master’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Central Florida. She also has a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the American University of Armenia. Sargsyan previously majored in Spanish language and literature at the Yerevan State University.

Mane Gevorgyan works as Communications Associate at the CivilNet.TV. She holds Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and currently is specializing in European Studies at the Yerevan State University, Centre for European Studies. Previously, Mane has studied in the USA as an exchange student and now is actively involved in FLEX Alumni activities. She is also a member of "Youth Peace Ambassadors" project initiated by Council of Europe.
